Shuai Zhang has qualified for the Wimbledon quarter-final after beating Dayana Yastremska in three sets.

The 30-year-old has reached her first Grand Slam quarter-final since 2016 after defeating 19-year-old Yastremska 6-4 1-6 6-2.

Zhang broke in the opening game and held serve throughout the opening set to take the lead.

Yastremska struck back in style in the second though, and won the first three games on the way to a 6-1 second-set win.

Zhang was able to regroup ahead of the decider though, and broke her opponent on all four occasions to win the match in 107 minutes.

The Chinese number one will play Simona Halep or 15-year-old sensation Coco Gauff in the quarter-final.
