Great Britain’s women curlers have qualified for the Winter Olympics semi-final after a 9-4 win over ROC.

Team GB needed to beat ROC with other results going their way, and a win for Sweden over South Korea ensured GB finished third in the round-robin stage.

They had the same record as Japan and Canada, but finished ahead in the table courtesy of the Draw Shot Challenge rankings.

Eve Muirhead’s rink will play Sweden in the semi-final.

Great Britain’s men had already secured their place in the semi-final and ensured they finished top of the round-robin stage with a 5-2 win over Canada.

They will meet defending champions USA in the semi-final at 12:05, and a win will guarantee Team GB their first medal of the Games.

“If we go out and play our best game then we’ll be tough to beat, we’re playing really well and I’m really happy with how we’re communicating out there,” skip Bruce Mouat told BBC Sport.

“We will just have to try and replicate what we did out there today.”
