Leicester City agree fee for Sevilla’s Vicente Iborra

Leicester City have agreed a deal to bring Sevilla captain Vicente Iborra to the King Power Stadium, for a fee believed to be around £10.5m.

The Spanish club announced the deal on their website, subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed.

The midfielder won three successive Europa League titles with Sevilla, and captained the club last season.

“Iborra has shown exemplary behaviour in his time at the club and has won the unanimous respect and love of all Sevilla fans,” said a Sevilla statement.

“His achievements with the club are colossal but he will also be remembered for his leadership on and off the pitch, and for the dignity with which he wore the captain’s armband.”

The 29-year-old scored 30 goals in 172 appearances for the La Liga club.
