Vincent Kompany hails Pep Guardiola impact
Vincent Kompany has heaped praise on Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
City were presented with the Premier League trophy after the goalless draw against Huddersfield Town and need two points from the final two games to break the record for most points in a season.
“It feels different. In the first year, in the 90th minute we still needed to score two goals. But I’m absolutely buzzing for these players,” Kompany told Sky Sports.
“I think the difference is kids don’t listen anymore! I don’t think you can underestimate the impact of the gaffer. The team has been so willing to learn.
“We’ve had many players who have been on and off, and that has had no impact whatsoever. It shows the depth is good.”
Kompany has now won three Premier League titles at City since joining the club in 2008.
