Kevin Anderson despatches Mischa Zverev to secure French Open progress

World number seven Kevin Anderson has beaten Mischa Zverev in four sets in the French Open third round.

The South African won out 6-1 6-7 (3-7) 6-3 7-6 (7-4) in two hours and 50 minutes and will play Diego Schwartzman or Borna Coric in the next round.

Anderson dominated the first set, breaking twice on the way to taking the lead but Zverev, older brother of world number three Alexander, took the second set after winning seven straight points from 0-3 down in the tie-break.

There was just one break of serve in the final two sets, Anderson taking a 5-3 lead in the third before serving for the set.

The second tie-break of the afternoon came in the fourth, and Anderson won out to secure the victory.
