Wigan Warriors end winless run by beating Hull FC

Wigan Warriors have beaten Hull FC 14-10 to end a three-match winless run.

Dan Sarginson opened the scoring before Sam Tomkins penalty stretched their lead but Bureta Faraimo crossed before halftime to reduced Wigan’s lead to 8-6.

Faraimo put Hull ahead with his second try but Tomkins penalty levelled the score.

Liam Marshall scored a lucky try with five minutes remaining after Tomkins drop-goal attempt hit the crossbar before Marshall went over in the corner.

The result cements Wigan’s hold on second place in the Super League table, six points behind league leaders St Helens, who beat Leeds Rhinos on Friday. Hull FC remain in fifth.
