Johanna Konta through to Nottingham Open semi-final after beating Dalila Jakupovic
Johanna Konta has progressed to the semi-final of the Nottingham Open after a straight-sets win over Dalila Jakupovic.
The world number 22 took 77 minutes to dispatch her world 118 opponent 6-4 6-2.
Konta needed to come from behind to take the first set after Jakupovic broke before going 3-1 ahead.
The British number one won four successive games from 4-2 down to take the opener.
Konta again went a break behind at the beginning of the second set, but struck back immediately.
The 26-year-old took a 4-2 lead before saving two break points. A break in the final game secured Konta’s victory.
Konta will play world number 42 Donna Vekic in the semi-final later this week.
