West Indies in control after day two against England

Kraigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope have put West Indies in complete control after day two of the second Test against England.

The Windies, who started the day on 19-1 after bowling England out for 258, finished on 329-5 after 134 from Brathwaite and 147 not out from Hope.

James Anderson took two wickets early on to take the score to 35-3 and a repeat of last week’s dominant win looked on the cards.

That was not to be the case though. Hope came in to join the opener and the pair built up a six-hour long partnership of 246.

Stuart Broad finally took Brathwaite out towards the end of the day and Alistair Cook caught Roston Chase off Ben Stokes bowling for 5 shortly after.

The match resumes tomorrow with the Windies 71 runs ahead.
