Wakefield Wildcats ease past Super League strugglers Hull KR

Wakefield Wildcats have eased to a 52-18 victory over Hull KR in the Super League.

Matty Ashurst and Tom Johnstone scored inside the opening 11 minutes before Chris Clarkson and Adam Quinlan took the score to 12-12.

Tyler Randall replied in the 29th minute, though, to give Wakefield the half-time lead.

Wakefield ran in six tries in the second half, with Johnstone adding a second and Scott Grix also crossing twice.

Ben Jones-Bishop scored Wakefield’s seventh before Kieran Moss grabbed a Hull KR consolation six minutes from time.

Anthony England scored with moments to spare and Wakefield struck once more at the death to add another 12 points to the scoreline.
