Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso joins Villarreal on loan
Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has joined La Liga side Villarreal on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has found himself on the fringes of the Tottenham first-team squad this season after signing from Real Betis in 2019.
Lo Celso will link up once again with current Villarreal boss Unai Emery, who managed the Argentine at Paris Saint-Germain.
He has made 84 appearances for Tottenham, scoring nine goals.
Tottenham have had a busy Deadline Day with the departures of Tanguy Ndombele and Bryan Gil.
They also signed Juventus pair Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski.
