Manchester United have started their International Champions Cup campaign with a win over Inter Milan in Singapore.

Seventeen-year-old Mason Greenwood gave United the victory with the only goal of the game in a match that the Premier League side dominated.

Anthony Martial was denied twice by Samir Handanovic in the first half and Daniel James shot narrowly wide of the post.

Nemanja Matic then went close but his header rebounded off the right post.

United brought a whole new eleven on after an hour, with Greenwood taking Martial’s place up-front.

The striker did put his side ahead with 14 minutes remaining when he fired the ball into the bottom left corner.

Greenwood was at it again just three minutes later when he showed brilliant technique to control the ball before powering it against the crossbar.

United next meet Tottenham Hotspur in Shanghai on Thursday.
