Johanna Konta knocked out by Jelena Ostapenko in Rome

Johanna Konta has lost to Jelena Ostapenko in the third round of the Italian Open in Rome.

The British number one took the lead but Ostapenko came back to triumph 2-6 6-3 6-4.

Konta romped to a 5-1 lead before taking the opening set, but Ostapenko held serve throughout the second to level.

The Latvian broke in the opening game of the decider and saved a break point at 4-3 on the way to victory.

Ostapenko will meet Daria Gavrilova or Maria Sharapova in the quarter-final.
