Australia have dominated Day Two of the final Ashes test and trail by 153 runs with eight wickets remaining in the first innings.

Usman Khawaja remains unbeaten on 91 after a partnership of 107 with captain Steve Smith (44 not out).

England advanced their overnight total from 233-5 to 346 all out, with Dawid Malan falling for 62.

Moeen Ali reached 30 before being caught behind and debutant Tom Curran was caught by Cameron Bancroft for 39.

Stuart Broad added a quickfire 31 off 32 balls before the wicket of Mason Crane for four signalled the end of the innings.

Australia started their innings horribly when Bancroft was bowled for a duck by Broad after one over.

The introduction of Khawaja turned things around though as he forged strong partnerships with David Warner and Smith.

Warner was eventually caught by Bairstow off the bowling of James Anderson for 56, with Khawaja and Smith continuing to advance Australia’s total through to the end of the day.
