Dundee United came from a goal down to beat Dunfermline Athletic 2-1 in the Scottish Premiership playoffs.

The result means that United will play Livingston in the semi-final after the teams played out a goalless draw in the first leg earlier this week.

Declan McManus gave Dunfermline the lead in the 14th minute when he turned in Jason Talbot’s cross and continued to be on top in the first half with Fraser Aird causing problems for the United defence.

Scott McDonald levelled in the second half when he scored from close range after Thomas Mikkelsen’s header, and Sam Stanton ensured United would progress when he fired into the net after dribbling from the halfway line.

United will host Livingston in the first leg of the semi-final on Monday.
