Championship: Wolves shocked by Forest, Fulham thrash Burton

Nottingham Forest earned a shock win against league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Kieran Dowell and Ben Osborn scored in the 40th and 43rd minute to secure a 2-0 win.

Wolves remain nine points clear at the top of the table.

It was a fantastic day for Fulham who thumped Burton Albion 6-0.

Fulham took a 3-0 lead into halftime against Burton Albion thanks to a Lucas Piazon goal between two Rui Fonte strikes.

Another three goals came in the second half too. Ryan Sessegnon scored twice and Aboubakar Kamara completed the scoring in the 88th minute.

Aston Villa’s match against Barnsley started at frantic pace with Scott Hogan scoring twice in seven minutes.

Dimitri Cavare struck back but Conor Hourihane restored the two-goal lead in the 19th minute.

That is the way it stayed for the rest of the match for Villa to claim a 3-1 win.

Ten-man Leeds United were beaten by Millwall 3-4 in a topsy-turvy match.

Andy O’Brien opened the scoring before Liam Cooper was sent off and Lee Gregory doubled Millwall’s lead before halftime.

Leeds scored three goals in 17 minutes after the restart to turn the match around. Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Kemar Roofe levelled the score.

Lasogga scored his second of the afternoon to give Leeds the lead but Tom Elliott levelled before Jed Wallace struck a 92nd-minute winner.

Sheffield United ended their three-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over Norwich City.

James Wilson struck in the sixth minute before Clayton Donaldson doubled the lead in the 68th minute.

Norwich came back into the match three minutes later through Ivo Pinto’s header but Sheffield United held on to the victory.

Preston North End drew 1-1 against Birmingham City.

Ben Davies gave Preston the lead in the 17th minute but Sam Gallagher levelled on the hour mark.

Middlesbrough also kept up their play-off push with a 3-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.

Daniel Ayala and George Friend scored in the first half before Adama Traore completed the scoring.

Bolton Wanderers were denied a crucial three points after a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town.

Gary Madine scored in the 53rd minute to give Bolton the lead but Joe Garner levelled in the 83rd minute to save a point for Ipswich.

Brentford beat Reading by a single goal with Lasse Vibe striking late, and Sunderland moved off the foot of the table after beating fellow strugglers Hull City 1-0 thanks to a Joel Asoro strike.
