Championship: Cardiff City, Ipswich Town maintain 100% records

Cardiff City and Ipswich Town remain the only teams to have earned maximum points after four matches in the Championship.

Joe Ralls opened the scoring for Cardiff in the second half but Leo Bonatini levelled for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored his fifth goal of the season in the 77th minute to secure the points for Cardiff.

Ipswich Town defeated winless Brentford 2-0.

The Bees dominated possession and had 22 shots to Ipswich’s six but Martyn Waghorn and Joe Garner punished them either side of half time.

Nottingham Forest have moved into the play-off places after a 2-1 win against Middlesbrough.

Barrie McKay opened the scoring when he placed the ball past Darren Randolph and Daryl Murphy doubled the lead from the penalty spot after a foul by Ben Gibson.

Gibson poked home from a corner late on but Forest held on.

Leeds United maintained their unbeaten start after a 2-0 win at Sunderland.

Samuel Saiz gave Leeds a half-time lead before substitute Stuart Dallas headed in in the closing stages.

Queens Park Rangers scored a stoppage-time winner to beat Hull City.

Jarrod Bowen gave the Tigers the lead before half time but Matt Smith levelled in the 75th minute.

Idrissa Sylla finished from close range in the 91st minute to put QPR into the play-off places.

Aston Villa finally earned their first win of the season by beating Norwich City 4-2.

Conor Hourihane led Villa to the win with a hat-trick and Andre Green scored before half time.

Josh Murphy and Nelson Oliveira pulled goals back for Norwich in the second half.

Bolton Wanderers remain winless after losing 2-1 against Derby County.

David Nugent scored twice inside the opening 21 minutes and Gary Madine grabbed a consolation in stoppage time.

Millwall are the third team without a win. They played out a 0-0 draw against Bristol City.

Elsewhere, there were 1-0 wins for Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End against Barnsley, Fulham and Reading respectively.
