Wakefield Wildcats have moved into sixth in the Super League with a 32-16 win over Wigan Warriors.

Wigan have now lost their last three games but remain in second place after winning 12 of their opening 13 matches.

Ben Jones-Bishop and Bill Topou touched down in the opening 26 minutes before Gabe Hamlin scored his first Wigan try to make it 14-6 at halftime.

Wakefield extended their lead in the second half, with Jones-Bishop scoring his second before Tom Johnstone added Wakefield’s fourth try.

Tom Davies and Morgan Escare scored in quick succession to make the scoreline a bit more respectable but Pauli Pauli finished off the night by adding Wakefield’s fifth late on.
