Super League: Warrington Wolves, Hull KR win in Qualifiers

Hull KR and Warrington Wolves have climbed to the top of the Super League Qualifiers table with wins over Leigh Centurions and Catalans Dragons.

Warrington made it two wins out of two with a convincing 52-24 win over Catalans.

Five tries in the first half saw Warrington take a 30-6 lead into half time. Stefan Ratchford scored twice and Matty Russell, Declan Patton and Ryan Atkins also crossed.

Atkins added his second try in the second half, with Peta Hiku also scoring. Tom Lineham scored twice to complete the scoring.

Ryan Casty, Lewis Tierney and two tries from Krisnan Inu took Catalans to 24 points on a day that they were second best throughout.

Hull KR look set for an immediate return to the Super League after a 20-16 win over Leigh Centurions.

Leigh took a two-point lead into half time, a Josh Drinkwater penalty separating the teams after tries from Daniel Mortimer and Shaun Lunt.

Ryan Shaw gave Hull a slim lead on the hour mark before Atelea Vea restored Leigh’s two-point lead at 16-14.

It was not until the 78th minute that Hull took the victory when Lunt crossed again.
