Simona Halep is through to the French Open semi-final after beating Angelique Kerber in three sets.

The world number one needed to come from behind but eventually came through 6-7 (2-7) 6-3 6-2 after two hours and 16 minutes.

Kerber won the opening four games of the opener before Halep eventually struck back for 5-5.

Halep then was broken but broke straight back to force a tie-break. Kerber won the final five points on the bounce to take the first set.
