Scottish Premiership: Celtic make it 52, Rangers held by Heart of Midlothian

Celtic have stretched their unbeaten domestic run to 52 games after a 2-0 win at Kilmarnock.

The Bhoys made six changes from the team that beat Astana in the Champions League on Tuesday but still dominated.

James Forrest opened the scoring in the 40th minute before Callum McGregor wrapped up the result from close range two minutes from time.

Rangers’ stuttery start to the Scottish Premiership season continued with a goalless draw against Heart of Midlothian.

John Souttar nearly gave Hearts the lead but his shot crashed off the crossbar. Alfredo Morelos then had a goal disallowed before Bruno Alves’ header was cleared off the line.

Hamilton Academical moved up to fourth in the table with a 3-1 win against Hibernian.

Rakish Bingham opened the scoring in the 52nd minute before Louis Longridge doubled Accies’ lead.

Bingham made it three from the penalty spot before Anthony Stokes scored a consolation in stoppage time.

Stevie May scored twice on his home debut to maintain Aberdeen’s 100% record.

May headed in Greg Tansey’s corner to open the scoring before Roarie Deacon equalised for Dundee after the break.

The former Preston North End striker pounced in the 79th minute to win the game for the Dons.

St Johnstone are the third team with three wins out of three.

Michael O’Halloran scored the only goal of the game from the edge of the box as they beat Partick Thistle.

Motherwell earned their first points of the season by beating Ross County 2-0.

Richard Tait and Louis Moult scored in the second half to kick start their season.
