Newcastle Falcons end Challenge Cup group stage with win over Enisey
Newcastle Falcons have finished the European Rugby Challenge Cup group stage with a 100% record after beating Enisey 33-19.
The Russian side started brilliantly and went ahead when Federico Giliberti crossed in the seventh minute.
Mark Wilson pulled a try back before Adam Radwan scored the first of his hat-trick to give Newcastle the lead.
Newcastle pulled away before half-time with Toby Flood and Radwan scoring.
Enisey scored twice in the second half. Tries from Anton Sychev and Mickheil Gachechiladze sandwiched Radwan’s third try.
Newcastle go through to the quarter-final as Group 1 winners, with Bordeaux and Dragons meeting on Saturday afternoon to decide who finishes as runners-up.
