Munster thrash Castres to top Champions Cup group
Munster have thrashed Castres Olympique 48-3 to qualify for the European Rugby Champions Cup as Group 4 winners.
The Irish side needed a win to top the group ahead of Racing 92, who beat Leicester earlier in the day.
The result also means that Aviva Premiership side Wasps, who secured a bonus-point win against Ulster, exit the competition with Racing progressing as one of the three best runners-up.
Munster scored 48 points without reply to claim victory after a Rory Kockott penalty gave Castres the lead.
A Keith Earls try and two Ian Keatley penalties gave Munster a 10-point halftime lead.
Five tries followed in the second half with Rhys Marshall, Simon Zebo, Alex Wootton and James Cronin all touching down with a penalty try adding seven more points.
