London Irish wait for Challenge Cup fate after beating Krasny Yar
London Irish have given themselves a chance of qualifying for the European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-final after a bonus-point win over Russian side Krasny Yar.
The Aviva Premiership side need Worcester Warriors to lose to Brive, but that match has been postponed to a later date.
Krasny Yar took a lead into halftime after a Lasha Malaguradze penalty and a Viktor Arhip try either side of Matt Williams’ score for Irish.
Grigory Tsnobiladze extended Krasny Yar’s lead in the 43rd minute but two tries from Tom Fowlie and a 72nd-minute Ben Loader score sealed the victory for London Irish.
