Juan Martin Del Potro gets past Marin Cilic in French Open quarter-final

Juan Martin Del Potro has qualified for the French Open with a 7-6 (7-5) 5-7 6-3 7-5 win over Marin Cilic.

The pair were tied at 5-5 in the first-set tie-break when play was stopped due to rain yesterday, and Del Potro came out to take the first set with the next two points.

Cilic was pushed all the way in the second but broke for 6-5 before levelling.

The next two sets belonged to Del Potro, though. He came back from a break behind to win five games in the row on the way to 6-3 in the third.

In the fourth set, the players held serve all the way up to 5-5, but from 0-40 game 11, Del Potro took the lead and was serving for the match.

Del Potro completed the match in style, winning to love to secure a semi-final against Rafael Nadal on Friday.
