John Higgins trounces Jack Lisowski to book quarter-final place
John Higgins defeated Jack Lisowski 13-1 to progress to the quarter-final of the Snooker World Championship.
The Scot whitewashed his English counterpart to take an 8-0 overnight lead with a 92% pot rate.
His superiority shone through again in the second session, taking the ninth frame before extending the lead to 10 with a ton.
Lisowski finally pulled a frame back but Higgins eased to victory and finished the match in style, with a 146 break to take the tournament’s highest break so far.
Higgins will play Ricky Walden or Judd Trump in the quarter-final.
