Hull KR score late to beat Halifax in Qualifiers

A late Nick Scruton try has given Hull KR a 26-22 win over Halifax in their opening game of the Super League qualifiers.

Kieren Moss scored twice in the opening seven minutes to give Hull KR the lead before Ben Heaton pulled one back.

Matty Marsh crossed the line before three successive Heaton tries gave Halifax a 22-14 lead.

George Lawler clawed back the deficit to two points before Scruton scored in the 84th minute to secure the victory for Hull KR.

In Saturday’s Qualifiers matches, Leigh Centurions defeated Featherstone Rovers 38-12 and Catalans Dragons beat London Broncos 20-18.
