Hampshire to play Kent in One-Day Cup final after beating Yorkshire

Hampshire are through to the One-Day Cup final after a 107-run win over Yorkshire.

They will play Kent at Lords, who defeated Worcestershire on Sunday.

Captain James Vince remained for 40 overs and thumped 171 off 126 balls as Hampshire set a target of 349. Sam Northeast added 58, with Rilee Rossouw (32) and Lewis McManus (25) helped the score move along.

Yorkshire got through the tail with ease towards the end of the innings but the damage had already been done.

Adam Lyth (11) and Cheteshwar Pujara (0) fell inside the first five overs. Jonathan Tattersall’s 89 dragged Yorkshire back into the match but he was caught by Berg with the team needing 126 runs off 57 balls.

Liam Dawson (4-47) capped off a brilliant innings by taking two wickets late one before Chris Wood (3-46) took out Ben Coad to end Yorkshire’s innings at 241 all out.

On Sunday, Heino Kuhn scored his fourth century of the tournament as Kent successfully chased down a target of 307 with two balls to spare.

The teams will meet in the final on June 30.
