First-half masterclass sees Hull FC despatch Featherstone in Challenge Cup

Super League Hull FC have beaten Championship side Featherstone Rovers 38-20 in the Challenge Cup.

Hull scored five first-half tries to take a 30-10 lead before halftime and two further tries in the second half led Hull to victory.

Jake Connor ran in twice and scored five conversions to lead his Hull side. Sika Manu, Jamie Shaul and Josh Griffin also scored in the first half.

Anthony Thackeray and Luke Briscoe replied for the hosts.

Featherstone improved in the second half but it was too late for them. Briscoe added a second before Gareth Hock went over late on.

Bureta Faraimo scored twice for Hull to ensure that they eased into the quarter-finals.
