Essex have qualified for the One Day Cup quarter-final with a 153-run win over Kent.

The reigning County champions will play the third-placed team in the North Group in eight days time, while Kent will travel to the North Group runners-up.

Essex set a target of 338 with Ravi Bopara and Dan Lawrence scoring 125 and 115 respectively. Kent’s bowlers struggled to get rid of their superb partnership with Matt Henry’s figures of 2-59 the highlight for them.
