England on the verge of another Ashes thrashing

England are on the verge of a fourth Ashes defeat after closing the fourth day on play at 93-4.

The tourists remain 210 runs short of forcing Australia to bat again and slipped to 15-2 early on after the wickets of Mark Stoneman (0) and Alistair Cook (10).

James Vince then fell for 18 before Dawid Malan went for five.

Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow were finally able to build up a partnership for England. They remain at 42 not out and 17 not out respectively.

Australia had earlier added to their overnight score of 479-4 to declare on 649-7, a 304-run lead going into the second innings.

Usman Khawaja top-scored on 171 with Marsh brothers, Shaun and Mitchell, both scoring centuries.
