A Jonny Bairstow century and a Ben Stokes 99 led England to victory in their second One-Day International against India.

India posted a score of 336-6 but England were able to level the series at 1-1 with 6.3 overs to spare.

Stokes hit 10 sixes in 52 balls before falling to Bhuvneshwar Kumar while Bairstow made 124 from 112 deliveries.

Jason Roy had added 55 at the start of the innings before being run out as England posted their highest ever chase against India, and their fifth-best of all-time.

KL Rahul’s 108 and Rishabh Pant’s 77 had put India in good shape to seal the series but the Indian bowling attack was no match for Bairstow and Stokes whose 175 partnership was came at nine runs an over.

The series will be decided when the teams meet again on Sunday.
