Eight-try Connacht batter Oyonnax in Challenge Cup
Group 5 winners Connacht thrashed Top 14 club Oyonnax in the final game of the Challenge Cup group stage.
The Irish province have guaranteed themselves a home quarter-final with a 50-14 victory.
Niyi Adeolokun’s hat-trick lead Connacht with tries also coming from Bundee Aki, Tiernan O’Halloran, Matt Healy and Tom Farrell, with a penalty try completing the scoring in the 76th minute.
Axel Muller and Daniel Ikpefan crossed for Oyonnax in the first half but exit the Challenge Cup after finishing bottom of the group.
