Arsenal have continued their International Champions Cup with a win over Fiorentina after two goals from Eddie Nketiah.

Joe Willock added a third late on as a youthful Gunners side impressed in North Carolina.

After scoring the winner against Bayern Munich, Nketiah finished into the bottom left corner when he was put through one-on-one, before combining with Alexandre Lacazette to add a second in the second half.

Willock completed the scoring in the 89th minute. More good work from Lacazette, who came off the bench at half time, found the 19-year-old who fired high into the net.

“Last season in small moments when we could give [Nketiah] chances to be on the pitch, he did very well,” Arsenal boss Unai Emery said in a press conference.

“I can confirm his progress and we want this progress with every player. Each player has the opportunity to show this capacity and above all first is a very good attitude.

“After this is that the young players need experience and they need to take minutes and to have confidence playing with us. The young energy is very important, especially Eddie Nketiah, he is playing and progressing very well.

Arsenal’s International Champions Cup campaign continues with a match against Real Madrid in Washington on Tuesday.
