Manchester City are on the verge of qualification from the Champions League group stages after a dominant win over Belgian side Club Brugge.

Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus all netted in the 4-1 win with John Stones’ bizarre own goal proving to be the only negative for City.

Joao Cancelo assisted three of the City goals. Foden and Mahrez finished his crosses either side of halftime before Jesus finished off an attacking move with the last kick of the game.

Sterling also scored his first Champions League goal in over a year when he finished from Ilkay Gundogan’s cutback.

Club Brugge’s only goal came when Bernardo Silva sliced a clearance off Stone’s face into the back of the net.

The result sees City take top spot in Group A following Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-1 draw with Red Bull Leipzig. Both City and PSG need a point from their final two games to guarantee their place in the knockout rounds.
