Celtic and Kilmarnock have played out a goalless draw in the Scottish Premiership.

With Celtic already crowned champions and Kilmarnock guaranteed fourth place before kick-off, neither team produced the quality needed to secure the the win.

It took a while for the match to get going. Killie striker Eamonn Brophy went down under a Kristoffer Ajer tackle and Celtic’s Jozo Simunovic was close to connecting to a Stuart Armstrong free-kick in a quiet first half.

Simunovic did think he had given Celtic the lead in the 35th minute though, heading in from another Armstrong free-kick but Ajer was deemed to have taken the final touch from an offside position.

Killie could have taken the lead themselves after the break but Aaron Tshibola missed the target.

Celtic did have a handful of chances to win the game in the closing stages but Jack Hendry headed wide twice from set pieces.
