Celtic beat Sarajevo to progress in Champions League

Celtic are through to the Champions League second qualifying round after defeating Bosnian side Sarajevo 5-2 on aggregate.

The Scottish Premiership champions led 3-1 after the first leg and will play Estonian champions Kalju in the next round.

Sarajevo nearly led early on in the match but Mersudin Ahmetovic’s strike was ruled out for offside.

Ryan Christie gave Celtic the lead after good work from Odsonne Edouard but Amar Rahmanovic headed in after the break to level the score on the night.

Callum McGregor curled the ball in with 15 minutes remaining as Celtic progressed without any problems.

Celtic will host the first leg against Kalju next Wednesday.
