Anthony Knockaert: ‘Victory over Manchester United is unforgettable’
Anthony Knockaert has praised Brighton’s work-rate and said that the team will remember their 1-0 victory over Manchester United for the rest of their lives.
Pascal Gross headed in the only goal of the game in the second half to guarantee Premier League football for Brighton next season.
Knockaert put in a man of the match performance as Brighton dominated their more illustrious opponents.
“We worked really hard, today you can see the effort from the boys was magnificent,” Knockaert told Sky Sports.
“It was a night we’ll remember all our lives. To stay up against Man Utd is unforgettable.
“It’s brilliant for us. We have great quality in the team and a player like Pascal Gross who can create things and players who work so hard for each other. Everyone loves each other and that’s what makes the difference.”
The result sees Brighton move eight points clear of the relegation zone with just two games remaining.
