Wasps secure bonus-point win to keep Champions Cup hopes alive

Wasps have beaten Ulster 26-7 to maintain a slim chance of qualifying for the European Rugby Champions Cup quarter-final.

The Aviva Premiership side needed a bonus-point victory to maintain a chance of progressing as one of the best runners-up, and Jake Cooper-Wooley scored Wasps fourth try with 24 minutes remaining.

Earlier, tries from Guy Thompson, Tom Cruse and Willie Le Roux had given Wasps the lead.

Sean Reidy got Ulster’s only try of the game in the 24th minute.

Wasps now have to hope Munster lose to Castres in their delayed match to progress. Ulster exit the competition after finishing third in Group 1.
