Sheffield Steelers up to second after win over Belfast Giants
Sheffield Steelers have leapfrogged Belfast Giants into second place in the Elite League after a 3-2 victory.
Matt Marquardt scored his 12th goal of the season to give Sheffield the lead late in the first period before Steve Saviano levelled in the 32nd minute.
Two goals from Andreas Jamtin put Sheffield in control at the second intermission.
David Rutherford netted with 14 minutes remaining for his 14th point in 10 games but Belfast were unable to level late on.
