Scottish Cup: Celtic ease through, Motherwell win derby

Celtic eased into the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a 5-0 victory over Brechin City.

Early goals from James Forrest and Scott Sinclair gave Celtic a two-goal half time lead.

Olivier Ntcham, Dedryck Boyata and Odsonne Edouard ensured that the Premiership champions progressed.

Motherwell won the Lanarkshire derby against Hamilton Academical 2-0.

A Scott McMann own goal gave Motherwell the lead before a Craig Tanner penalty secured the victory before halftime.

Premiership side Dundee had conceded a late equaliser in their 2-2 draw against Championship Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Aaron Doran scored in the 15th minute to give Caley the lead but AJ Leitch-Smith levelled after the break.

Mark O’Hara gave Dundee the lead but George Oakley’s 87th-minute goal kept Inverness in the Cup.

Highland League side Brora Rangers have progressed after a 1-0 win over League One East Fife.

Steven Mackay scored in the 12th minute to send Brora through.

Kilmarnock made safe passage to the fifth round thanks to Lee Erwin’s late penalty against Ross County, and Dundee United overcame League One Alloa Athletic after goals from Mark Durnan and Emil Lyng.

Elsewhere, Ayr United thrashed Arbroath 4-1, Greenock Morton got past Dunfermline Athletic with a 2-1 win and Partick Thistle knocked out Queen of the South 2-1.
