Racing 92 go top of Group 4 after beating Leicester Tigers
Racing 92 have moved to the top of Group 4 of the European Rugby Champions Cup after beating Leicester Tigers 23-20.
The French side will need to wait for the result of Munster’s tie against Castres Olympique, which has been delayed due to rain, to see whether they will finish as group winners.
Henry Chavancy gave Racing the lead before Maxime Machenaud scored a try and three penalties.
For Leicester, five George Ford penalties and a Brendon O’Connor try was not enough as they slipped to their fourth Champions Cup loss in a row.
Racing will win group four if Munster fail to beat Castres. If Munster win, Racing will secure a place in the quarter-final as one of the three best runners-up.
