Premier League: Arsenal hammer Crystal Palace, Manchester United overcome Burnley

Arsenal have ended their three-game winless streak with a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Arsenal raced into a 3-0 lead inside 13 minutes after goals from Nacho Monreal, Alex Iwobi and Laurent Koscielny, and it was 4-0 nine minutes later when Alexandre Lacazette finished off a superb passing move.

Palace did get a consolation goal in the 78th minute when Luka Milivojevic sent the ball into the bottom corner.

Manchester United moved three points clear of Chelsea, who defeated Brighton in the day’s early kick-off, with a 1-0 win over Burnley.

Both sides struggled to create chances but Anthony Martial popped up to score the winner with United’s only shot on target in the 54th minute.

Theo Walcott made his debut for Everton but it started off poorly after Jay Rodriguez finished into the bottom left corner in the seventh minute.

Walcott was involved in Everton’s equaliser though, crossing to Oumar Niasse to rescue a 1-1 draw in the 70th minute.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez scored as Leicester City beat Watford 2-0.

He was fouled in the area in the 39th minute and stepped up to score from 12 yards.

Mahrez added a second in stoppage time when his shot beat Orestis Karnezis from inside the box.

Paul Lambert won his first game as Stoke City manager, beating Huddersfield Town 2-0.

Stoke took the lead in the 54th minute when Maxim Choupo-Moting set up Joe Allen to score from the edge of the box.

Mame Biram Diouf added the second in the 69th minute when he sent the ball into the bottom left corner.

West Ham United and Bournemouth played out a 1-1 draw after Ryan Fraser’s opener was cancelled out by Javier Hernandez
