Mark Allen has defeated John Higgins to reach the Masters final.

The Northern Irishman won in nine frames to set up a final against Kyren Wilson, who beat Judd Trump in the first semi-final.

Allen posted a score of 90 to go 3-1 up before Higgins shot 131 to pull a frame back.

Two successive frames put Allen 5-2 up before another Higgins century extended the match.
