FA Cup: Chelsea scrape past Norwich, Wigan batter Bournemouth

Chelsea needed a penalty shootout to beat Norwich City in an FA Cup third-round replay.

Jamal Lewis took the tie into extra-time in the 94th minute after Michy Batshuayi had given Chelsea the lead.

A bizarre turn of events at the end of extra-time saw Pedro and Alvaro Morata sent off.

Pedro, who had earlier been booked for diving, received a second yellow card in the 117th and Morata, also booked for diving, picked up another yellow for dissent in stoppage time.

In the shootout, Nelson Oliveira saw his penalty saved by Willy Caballero and Eden Hazard finished the match to score Chelsea’s fifth spot-kick into the bottom corner.

Chelsea will host Newcastle United in the next round.
