Dragons beat Bordeaux in final Challenge Cup group game
Dragons have beaten Bordeaux 33-17 in the final European Challenge Cup group game.
The Welsh side will confirm their place in the quarter-final if Sale Sharks fail to beat Toulouse and score four tries on Saturday evening.
A 23rd-minute Elliot Dee try saw Dragons take a 5-3 lead into the break, but the game shot to life in the second half.
Cory Hill’s try extended Dragons lead before Bordeaux went five points clear after tries from Fa’asiu Fuatai and Jules Gimbert.
Dragons scored two tries without reply in the last 21 minutes to seal victory as Ashton Hewitt and Lloyd Fairbrother got their names on the scoresheet.
