Bath ease past Worcester for bonus-point victory

Bath have returned to the top four of the Aviva Premiership after a 46-25 win over second-bottom Worcester Warriors.

A Paul Grant try separated the teams at half time before tries from Matt Garvey and Anthony Watson put Bath in control.

David Denton, Joe Taufete’e and Perry Humphreys crossed for Worcester in the second half but a James Phillips try and a Kahn Fotuali’i double secured the bonus point for Bath.

Two Rhys Priestland penalties put Bath up by six points in the opening 15 minutes before the boot of Chris Pennell made it 6-3.

Grant then went over after being slipped in by Chris Cook before Pennell pulled three points back with the last kick of the game.

Bath turned the screw on Worcester at the start of the half when Garvey went over on the right and Watson broke clear.

Denton pulled a try back for Worcester but Phillips try, just one minute later, secured the bonus point.

Fotuali’i charged a ball down to score Bath’s fifth before Taufete’e and Humphreys scored at the other end late on.

With just moments remaining, Fotuali’i scored his second try of the evening after Jack Wilson’s superb offload to wrap up the victory.
